Today!~

Today is a winding road that's taking me to places that I didn't want to go
Today in the blink of an eye I'm holding on to something and I do not know why
I tried

I tried to read between the lines
I tried to look in your eyes
I want a simple explanation
For what I'm feeling inside
I gotta find a way out
Maybe there's a way out

Yeah I'm walking on a tightrope
I'm wrapped up in vines
I think we'll make it out
But you just gotta give me time
Strike me down with lightning
Let me feel you in my veins
I wanna let you know how much I miss you when you are not here

Public Transports

Ever since I came for my studies last year, I become a frequent travellers of public transports here. Although the services are not as good as the one they have in Singapore, but no complains can be made though. With the locations of my uni, which is practically in the mid of nowhere, should be called Nothingham instead of Nottingham lol, I'm pretty much blessed with the existence of my uni bus services, which the uni provide for us for free although it's actually included in my uni fees, which is very expensive if to be compare locally. My uni buses operate everyday with the frequency trips of every one or two hour, from the local train station ( 45 mins to or from my uni) to my campus.

The local trains, known as KTM here, looked a bit old but they played a very important role to get me to the city of Kuala Lumpur. EVenthough the whole journey takes around one and a half hour from my campus to KL, but I's get used to it. :)

As for the local buses, they are mostly not on time lol.. but the bus ticket is considered cheap which is around rm2 to take you anywhere for the whole day without regard to where you wanna go on the same day.

As for the taxis, hmm.. Malaysia has the worst taxi drivers on average.. It's hard to find a taxi driver, who drive following meter. Most of them are like gangster on roads, driving recklessly and trying to slaughter you by charging you expensively. But there are still some out there, who are nice and charge accordingly. So, it's all depend on your lucks.

But nevertheless, I'm still glad that the public transports is quite efficient. Without them , I'll be blowing my budget and stuck in the Nothingham every week lol.. Oopss.. It's Nottingham.. :)

Yeah, Weekend again!~

Days come and goes so fast.. I hardly have the chance to stop and to breathe and feel my surrounding.. I went to the trial class for yoga yesterday and now my whole body are in pain. I can feel my body muscle pain from all the stretching.. esp my back muscle.. It's even harder than ballet.. Miss those days dancing to the rythm and the music..

I went for lunch today nearby my campus. I had a tomyam beehon for lunch and it's one of my fave. But for dinner just now, I'd only ate biscuits with milk. Too lazy to cook. I feel so weak inside. Blaming the yoga session. This has given me a tickling time bomb that I had not been regular in exercising, which is bad. I hate gym and workouts using machine. I prefer dancing more. It's more alive.

Studies are getting more worse. Perhaps the pain of my shoulder muscle reflects how stressful I am without me knowing it at all.

Heard that the gold price drops.. :) I'm hoping to save some money to buy gold.

With the location of my uni, which is like in the mid of nowhere or in the jungle. I wish to be at home now since my mum is telling me they are all having kfc and pizza for supper. And I'm stuck here listening to how nice and tasty their food are. sick huh...but tmr's friday, I'm planning to cook fish again. :) can't wait. It's one of my best dish that I can cook. HE said it tested like restaurant one. SO happy.

A very nice song for HIM!~

With every appearance by you, blinding my eyes,
I can hardly remember the last time I felt like I do.
You're an angel disguised.

And you're lying real still,
but your heart beat is fast just like mine.
And the movie's long over,
that's three that have passed, one more's fine.

Will you stay awake for me?
I don't wanna miss anything
I don't wanna miss anything
I will share the air I breathe,
I'll give you my heart on a string,
I just don't wanna miss anything.

I'm trying real hard not to shake. I'm biting my tongue,
but I'm feeling alive and with every breathe that I take,
I feel like I've won. You're my key to survival.

And if it's a hero you want,
I can save you. Just stay here.
Your whispers are priceless.
Your breathe, it is dear. So please stay near.

Will you stay awake for me?
I don't wanna miss anything
I don't wanna miss anything
I will share the air I breathe,
I'll give you my heart on a string,
I just don't wanna miss anything.

Say my name. I just want to hear you.
Say my name. So I know it's true.
You're changing me. You're changing me.
You showed me how to live.
So just say. So just say,

That you'll stay awake for me.
I don't wanna miss anything.
I don't wanna miss anything.
I will share the air I breathe,
I'll give you my heart on a string,
I just don't wanna miss anything

Here it goes again....

It's only been 4th week of my semester. This will probably be my last year in engineering.. hopefully... This has been pushing me on and off esp before exam, which normally make me feel panic. But for once, I've already start to feel panic in a way even it's just the beginning of the semester. It's time to push myself again to the very limit of mine. Arghh.. Weekend always seems to past so fast and my works are beginning to stock up and with all the pure civil subjects, it's very tough.. Lol.. can't seem to answer any of the exercise. Wish that I'm a small little girl again, where I don't have to worry bout anything in my life. Anyway, I'll always tell myself to smile and cheer up! Life is a rollercoaster..

Part of this, I'm missing someone really badly now. He's now on the way back. Perhaps in the train. Whenever I'm with him, all my stress will be gone. Ain't know why. Maybe he likes to cheer me up with stuff that he always do. :) He just cook a fish and ayam kampung for me cause I'm feeling kind of weak lately. Thoughtful, heh.. It's just a plus of him for his talent and passion in cooking. A very loving, traditional guy is all I need. :)

Tuesday!~

Here I am.. Waiting for the next class. I had 9 hours plus of sleep last night but I'm still feeling very tired and sleepy. Something is wrong with me. Now I have 3 hours break in between classes, which make me sick of waiting. Plus the 2 hours class later will be Geotechnical again. I can't wait to go back to my room for a nap. It's another 3 days before weekend. Can't wait..

Settlement??

Lol... WHy is Geotechnical Engineering so hard? I couldn't get it. I try to read the 1st chapter of it regarding foundations and I feel so lost in the jungle. All the equations and charts. LOL.. I really admire my lecturer who has a PHD from NUS lol... Genius~!~ haih...

Happy~

I couldn't be anymore happy than this. His results for last semester came out and I'm proud of him for achieving the best that he can. He had worked for it and he is definitely deserve this. :) Nyway, more exams to come before graduate.

For what I had seen and gone through, getting gOOD grades is Not about giving up the fun things in your life. :) it's bout how you manage your time and the amount of effort you put in in that limited time. So, study smart works!~!~ :) ANd bla bla bla.. I'm so proud of him. :) AZA AZA Fighting my elephant!~ :)

updates!~!~

Well, that's it... I had decided to take the civil engineering core subjects for this semester for my optional, which are Geotechnical Engineering, Pavement Engineering and Steel Design. So total up with another 2 compulsary subjects, I had 5 papers to sit for this semester. Life is never easy. Gotta work hard for it.. SO, here I go .again... AsZA AZA FIGHTING!~!~s Light will eventually come after darkness.. who knows what future will lies in 10 years time, 20 years tme.. I feel that time past faster the more older we get. When and how can I be successful?? hmmm...

Anyway, it's friday today and I had just got my internet connections for my room right after few visits and complains. From what I learned from the complains, the lady working there is never responsible.. haih..as usual NINJA.. lol...

Well, here are some of my continuation pictures from Bukit Tinggi. :)

The entrance fee per person to bukit tinggi is rm16. There are few places of interest there. The rabbit farm, Japanese Tea House, the fort ( not sure bout the name) , botanical gardens and others. It is a nice place to visit but the only problem to get there is there are no buses, unless you go in a group as in tour or you can just rent a car from KL to get there.

Showing one of our great assets.. :)

.

Why does he look so happy ?? lol

So that's it.. The pics of mine and my friends to bukit tinggi.. Well, it's almost 4 pm now.. Gotta go and prepare the food to cook. Sweet and sour tilapia and tom yam fried rice. :) till then.. xoxo, jen

Japan Wonder!~!~

Recently, I got to know some Indonesian friends and we had rent a car to BUkit Tinggi. It is situated near to Genting Hilghland. It took us around an hour from Kelana Jaya to reach there. They are very friendly and they looked like japanese. Aren't they?? We went to the Japanese Tea House and rented Japanese costumes to wear. Here are some of the pictures taken. After that, we went to look out point in KL. Will update the second chapter of the pics soon.

Guess which of the above is me??

Tadah!~!~

Everyone seem to be very happy. Smiling all the time. :)

Life is so challenging and yet, tiring when I think bout going back for war again. I'm given an option to choose whether to take Beng (Degree) or Meng (MAster) in Engineering.. and I had to choose 3 subjects out of 5 subjects for this semester. So, now I do not know what to do. hehe.. Anyway, it's a week long holiday break again for raya.. To all my muslims friends out there, Happy RAYA.. :)

In order to mark the end of our long break, me and my friends decided to pamper ourselves with a trip to genting again. It was a nice trip. There are 14 of us, who went, which consists of 9 blokes and 6 hotties. :) Just can't get enough of genting. I'd played the spaceshoot again.. Was so happy. haha. But I've missed out the cockscrew, which are unavailable that day. Got into casino, though I've yet to reach the age limit. haha.. for a second, i think I actually looked mature.

hectic holidays..

It's a week before my new sem reopen.. I'd just been to penang and langkawi. Penang is a really nice place to visit.. Love their asam laksa a lot.. though it taste a lot different from Sarawak laksa, I can't stop thinking to taste it again. But the ice kacang of penang is very disappointing. Kuching's ice kacang taste a lot better with the milk in it and out meta hon, best of the best esp the one at hui sing market.. hehe..

Although Penang is a small city as it is only an island, but it has so much thing in it. Esp the religious place.

Langkawi was a nice place to chill out and relax. We'd rented a car to move around langkawi. Without car, it will take days to reach the place u wanna go.. seriously.. We used ferry from Penang to LAngkawi, which took us about 2 and 1/2 hours. We'd rented a car to move around in LAngkawi, but we were confused by the map of the beautiful island. From the jetty, there is a driving distance to the town. And it was linked by a small bridge, which we'd never thought of the town is situated there. I love the scenery there and the way of peolpe living there. Very peaceful and relaxing.

We'd came across a nice Malay stall selling fried banana, fried prawn ball and others for only ten cent. can u believe it? And it taste so nice. It's nice to live in a town which u can survive as the living expenses is low. But the beach there is kinda disappointing, but having to spend my time with him for that few days, is very meaningful.

Next trip hopefully will be redang lo.. haha

One Step At a time

Hurry up and wait
So close, but so far away
Everything that we've always dreamed of
Close enough for us to taste
But we just can't touch

I wanna show the world, but no one knows my name yet
Wonder when and where and how i'm gonna make it
I know i can if I get the chance
In my face as the door keeps slamming
Now i'm feeling more and more frustrated
And i'm getting all kind of impatient waiting

We live and we learn to take
One step at a time
There's no need to rush
It's like learning to fly
Or falling in love
It's gonna happen and it's
Supposed to happen that we
Find the reasons why
One step at a time

We believe and we doubt
We're confused, we got it all figured out
Everything that we always wished for
Could be ours, should be ours, would be ours
If we only knew

When I can't wait any longer
But there's no end in sight
when I need to find the strength
It's the faith that makes me stronger
The only way I get there
Is one step at a time

Who's Got the MOnKey?

Sorry as there’s no pic update in this blog yet as I had just sent my hp to repair due to some backlight prob. Well, cheer up as lots of pics will be coming your way. Currently, I’m working on myself proclaim project of re-engineering of myself.

Recently, I’ve been a shopaholic. I keep on buying and buying things that I assume that I need it and I love it. Last month, I had spent a lot on cosmetics and clothes and I’ve just got my new hair cut and I love it. I’ll post the pic of it after I got my phone back from repair,k?

And Yahoo!~ This is the last week I’ll be working as a trainee. I’ve learned not to take any monkey from people haha. Let me explain the monkey that I’m referring too. One of my university’s lecturer gave an article to us, “Who’s got the monkey?”. There’s 2 type of manager in the office. One is so called the smart one and the other is not so as in management.

Mr. A and Mr. B are manager for a top company. As a manager, there’s of course subordinates who are under them. Let say both of the company has a new business deal and work are coming in for them.

Mr. A and Mr. B has broken the work into small tasks for their subordinates. They gave all these tasks to the subordinates in the beginning of the week. From this, the monkeys are jumping from the back of Mr. A and Mr. B to the back of the subordinates.

As the outcome of the tasks are hard to achieve, the subordinates are cracking their head to solve the problems. Any till Friday, the last day of working day of the week, they still can’t find the solutions. So, they went and meet Mr.A for solutions. Mr. A as a good boss told them he’ll look into this matter and try to solve them. So, all the monkeys from the subordinates back jumped back to Mr. A’s back.As a manager himself, Mr. A has yet to finish all the tasks that he suppose to but having more monkeys on his back simply means he need to work on sat. There he go, going back to work on sat. Even going back to work on sat, doesn’t mean he can manage to finish all the tasks as the monkeys from his back is not only from one subordinates but more than that. SO at the end of the day, as he drive back home from work worrying bout his tasks, GUESS WHAT HE SAW? HE SAW HIS SUBORDINATES PLAYING GOLF AND ENJOYING THEMSELVES.

And as for Mr. B, he also encounter the same problems from his subordinates. When his subordinates meet him, he’ll encourage them to find solutions to it and he’ll discuss with them on Monday if there is still a problem. From these, the monkeys are still stuck on the back of the subordinates and never being transfer to the back of Mr. B.

So, who’s the smart manager? Of course, it’s Mr. B. This story teaches us NEVER EVER TAKE MONKEYS FROM SOMEONE ELSE”S BACK unless that’s what u suppose to do and if only the monkey are from the back of your boss.

As a trainee, my job is to learn something, which is related to engineering line itself. But I had came across people, who ask me to type things and photocopy things, which I think is not relevant to what I suppose to do. At first, I feel it’s ok for me to do it but later on, one of my colluege told me I wasn’t suppose to do it as it’s the job the person himself as I suppose to learn calculations from someother engineers. After I think about it, There’s someone I’ve seen who likes to order people to do things even its not bout the work of the office and they are not even someone who can call the shot.

No matter what, I also have meet nice people who help me through my days at work. Admin people are nice people though and also two of the engineers from the structural side who taught me how to design the house. They taught me a lot in the line of engineering. They told me the pay is shity. Haha. Working for people is like that. That’s how the boss can be the only one who is rich. They had asked me whether I’m interested in working there. I said no as I had more than that in my head. Not as in, helping other people who pay u less and order u around to be rich.

Although I’ve yet to complete the design of the house, but one day, somehow I want to design my own dream house. Again, hopefully. Haha.

Someone told me my blog is boring. Does it? Well, I’m just not someone who like to take pics of myself only unless I’m pretty enough. Haha.

the pic above taken from thomasodin.blogspot.com

Site Visit!~

Last sat, my company that I had internship in organized a site visit to the project that they are currently working on. It was a sunny day. But I’m smart enough to prevent myself from sunburn by 1st, applying sun block and 2nd, wearing a sweater to prevent my delicate hand from sunburn. Hehe. Here are some of the pics that are taken on site.

I looked so funny in the safety head lol. Look as if my head is so big. Haha..

The site people brought us to have a look at the retaining wall near the river. This thing is called the geotube. It is said to protect the side of the land from corrosion. Rather than using sheet pile walls, geotube is used here.

Next up here, the pumping of water at the side of the land to lower down the water level so we can have a look at the geotube.
We were climbing up the wobbly stairs, which are made of wood just to reach here.

During the site visit, the engineers keep on asking me this question. “Are u sure u wanna be a civil engineer?” haha..

HAPPY 080808

What an auspicious day today!~!~ I bet there’s so much wedding ceremonies being held today lo... congrats to the newly weds.Hope you guys will have 8 babies also.. SO everything 8 (wealth). Haha

Today is also a meaningful day for the China as it is the day of the commencement of the BEIJING OLYMPICS 2008.. Wau!~ How I wish I can be there, but sad sad can’t afford lo... One of my dreams is to travel around the world and China is definitely is in my lists. I can’t wait to visit the Forbidden City and The Temple of Heaven. Heard that the structural designs are very unique. I’ve always admired our chinese culture, esp things related to the King, General, Princesses and Palace. That’s why I love MULAN so much when I was a kid. Haha.. She has been an idol to me esp the part where she pretend to be a guy and trained and fought hard for her country. Girl Power!~ haha...

But the sad thing is I can’t spend it with HIM today, he’s been busy lately and me too.. I’m busy to be more beautiful but not in work. Haha.. I’ve yet to wait for the moment to change from a fat and chubby caterpillar into a beautiful and colorful butterfly, without plastic surgery of course. Wish me luck.. Trying my best.
